Savory Egg Pie Recipe

Planning ahead for your Thanksgiving guests? I have a crowd pleasing one dish meal for you!! My favorite way to prepare this savory dish is with tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil! There are many options including spinach, cheddar and bacon or a broccoli and cheddar. The magic number is about 2 cups of shredded cheese and about a cup of cooked meat and or veggies.

Savory Egg Pie
Set oven to 350 degrees.
Grease the 9 Inch round pan pan or pie plate with softened butter.
Measure out 3t grated Parmesan and coat the pan – this is your crust.

In your parmesan coated dish Layer:
1.5 cups of shredded cheese
5 slices of fresh 🍅
Fresh Basil Chopped

Mix:
1/2 cup AP flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup half & half
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 large eggs
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp parsley plus some for sprinkling on top.
Pour over cheese & veggies. Sprinkle with additional parsley.
Bake 30-35 minutes.

Garnish with parsley or fresh basil & Enjoy!
